Manners/Basic Obedience: 6-Week Class
Product Description
Prerequisite: None. For dogs 7 months old and up. This class is for puppies and dogs with no formal training.
Among other commands, your dog will learn to sit, lie down, and stay on command; how to walk on a leash without pulling; to allow feet, ears, and teeth to be handled; and to come when called. Training sessions include praise, hugging, games, and a socialization experience that will provide a good foundation for further learning. At graduation, your dog will be ready to take any of our introductory dog sports classes or the Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) class, a certification program developed by the American Kennel Club (AKC).

Please complete our two forms by clicking each link below and bring to your first class along with your dog's vaccination record. If you pay in person, bring the forms with you when you pay, at least 24 hours in advance of the class start date.
Please also bring at least 50 small (size of a pea) soft treats in a treat bag and a clicker if you use one. Or if you'd prefer, you can buy these items at Praiseworthy Pups.
