Canine Good Citizen® 6-Week Class
Product Description
Prerequisite: Graduation from Puppy Kindergarten or Dog Manners class at Praiseworthy Pups or similar program.
We will reinforce basic commands and build reliable off-leash recall and solid sits, downs, and stays. In this class, you and your dog will learn the necessary skills to pass the AKC's Canine Good Citizen test, which is offered periodically at Praiseworthy Pups. CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs that have good manners at home and in the community. Your dog will need to know the commands and exercises taught in a basic training class to qualify for a passing score on the CGC test. Dogs that pass the CGC test receive a certificate from the AKC and are recorded in the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Archive.

Please complete our two forms by clicking each link below and bring to your first class along with your dog's vaccination record. If you pay in person, bring the forms with you when you pay, at least 24 hours in advance of the class start date.
Please also bring at least 50 small (size of a pea) soft treats in a treat bag and a clicker if you use one. Or if you'd prefer, you can buy these items at Praiseworthy Pups.
